VeganDish Pottery Giveaway!

VeganDish is a line of beautifully handcrafted pottery by local Atlanta artist Jeanette Zeis. It’s pottery that is “made for vegans, by a vegan”. I already own some VeganDish pieces, but last weekend I got seconds!VeganDish

Jeanette and her partner Kenn TwoFour (also an Atlanta artist, also vegan) are taking their whole operation to the Pacific Northwest (Hey Pacific Northwest, isn’t it enough that you have mountains and ocean and a nice cool climate?).

Because they needed to clear out their stock, they had a huuuge sale last weekend on old stock and studio seconds. Studio seconds are basically products that maybe have minor imperfections making them not “suitable” for full price. I dunno if I’m explaining that right. But when we went, I saw nothing but beautiful pieces of pottery at crazy marked down prices.

VeganDish-1164-1

I was able to pick up a few of her illustrated pieces that I’ve been eyeballing for a while. AND I got a VeganDish mug and bowl for ONE OF YOU! I’m so excited to share this with you guys. I have a VeganDish mug and it’s one of my most favorite mugs on the whole planet. I don’t have a bowl and I kinda want to keep this one. But I think the mug and bowl are just too cute together so I’m giving away both!

Sorry, the giveaway is closed.

Congratulations to Sheri from A Dreaded Vegan for winning the pottery set!

All ya gotta do to enter this giveaway is:

  • leave a comment telling me what vegan dish (or drink) you would put in your VeganDish if you won

When you leave a comment, make sure to enter your email privately in the form so I can contact you if you win. The giveaway will close at midnight (EST) on October 4th (next Friday). I will pick a winner randomly using random.org. Oh, and this is open to anyone with a mailbox. Edited to add: This means even international! :-)

OH, WHAT A SHAME, EVERYONE! KETTY HAS HAD TO SHUT THIS GIVEAWAY DOWN FOR PERSONAL REASONS. NOTHING TO SEE HERE! JUST MOVE AWAY QUICKLY!

Oh, hi, Ketty! What? That wasn’t me. I was just saying that those are very nice pieces of pottery you’re describing here from my very favorite potter. I was so beyond jealous of Atlanta locals who were able to go to Jeanette’s sale! These pieces are beautiful! I would put coffee & polenta in them respectively.

I MEAN, I WOULD PUT COFFEE & POLENTA IN THEM, IF ONLY THE GIVEAWAY WEREN’T CANCELLED!!

Oh my, they are so beautiful! I’ve just moved into a student house with 3 meat eaters and they keep using my dishes for their food :( these would go down a treat to remind them to back off and use their own equipment! I’d fill that mug with microwaveable vegan brownies and use the bowl for miso soup with extra tofu!

    Thankyou, Abigail (thepositiveisms)

For the cup, coffeeee. For the bowl, I eat a LOT of soup and a LOT of cereal. I’m so excited that its getting cool out again so I can eat soup. My favorite is a veganized zuppa toscana.

Now that autumn is in full swing, I would put my special Creamy Pumpkin Soup in the bowl, and probably have leftovers in the mug. It has red lentils, Yukon gold potatoes and golden raisins. It’s the best!

Even as the weather gets cooler, I am still addicted to chocolate banana soft-serve, so that would definitely be what I fill my bowl with!

That bowl looks like it needs some kale and black eyed pea gumbo in it (it’s cooling off here in NC and all I want to eat is soup!). I’m thinking that mug needs a chai latte in it! Yum!

Is this open worldwide?! I’ve wanted one of these dishes since the day I went vegan!! Not sure how large they are but they look great for breakfast. Thinking a steaming mug of hot chocolate (with vegan marshamallows of course) and steel-cut oats with all the toppings :)

This is what I get for not paying attention to what’s happening around me. I live near Atlanta, and this would’ve been awesome! But at least I still have a chance to win these adorable dishes!

There’s a vegan pumpkin spice latte I’ve been meaning to try that I would put in the cup. I would put pasta fagioli in the cup. I made that soup a lot before I went vegan, and that was one of the dishes I was super excited to realize I could still eat once I made the switch. :)

Homemade chocolate ginger ice cream. Coconut milk base. Fresh ginger and crystallized ginger. It’s in my ice cream maker even as we speak. Got the recipe off a now defunct vegan blog (how could the author have given up ice cream?).

First time on your blog. I’m local (Lawerenceville); just found out about your blog through the VegFest Facebook post. Wow! Love your blog. You are a fun foodie who understands that cruelty-free eating can be delicious….

What a sweet giveaway Ketty! I’ve never heard of Vegan Dish, but I’m gonna check them out for sure. Those dishes are adorable.

In the mug I’d alternate between mint tea and my I Can’t Believe It’s Healthy Hot Chocolate. And in the bowl, I’d alternate between white bean and kale soup and mango oatmeal. Thanks so much for this giveaway – you rock!! Celeste :)

Oh, and my email is celestedimilla@yahoo.com.

There’s a local tea shop that makes this amazing chai tea concentrate that is actually made to be mixed with almond milk. It’s delicious. I’d have to warm it up and put it in my lovely mug if I won.

I would make a homemade soy chai recipe I’ve been meaning to make for over a year now (I already bought all of the spices) and for the bowl I would make some deluxe oatmeal (with fruit, nuts, cinnamon, vanilla, hemp seeds, soymilk and possibly vegan chocolate chips) My last name is Starr and I started a vegan diet at the beginning of this year, so I would love to have a Vegan Star mug and bowl! :)

Wow. That looks great. The mug looks just right for a hearty soup (it’s fall and I’m in soup mode). I’d put a noodle or rice bowl in the bowl. One of my favorites–brown rice, black beans, salsa, guacamole.

Welllllll, I would eat everything out of them. But I would definitely put a cashew cream something-anything in the dish (I’m determined to make cashew cream successfully one of these days — hopefully a day in the very near future!) and I would put a vegan gravy of some sort in the cup because I know that once I mastered the art of gravy I will probably drink it out of a cup.
